Download a Public MICO Live Video as MP4

Understand how MicoRec captures a public MICO source, creates an MP4 and delivers it through Telegram without browser downloads.

MicoRec Editorial · · 2 min read

MicoRec uses Telegram as the download library. This avoids publishing permanent public video URLs and keeps delivery attached to the account that requested the recording.

Start from the bot or public catalog

Use /rec MICO_ID for a live happening now, or /watch MICO_ID for future lives. The MicoRec website also lists completed public recording metadata. Selecting an available recording opens a Telegram deep-link for that recording.

Wait for media processing

MICO may provide HLS or FLV media. MicoRec verifies the captured codec, dimensions and duration, then produces the final player video and a timestamped contact sheet.

The bot does not send an unfinished file. Delivery begins after MicoRec verifies the completed video and contact sheet.

Save the video from Telegram

Open the received Telegram video and use Telegram's save or download action. On desktop you can save it to a chosen folder; on mobile you can keep it inside Telegram or export it according to your device settings.

If the video is above Telegram's single-file limit, MicoRec sends ordered parts in one album. Keep every part if you plan to archive the entire live.

Why is there no public MP4 player on the website?

The web catalog covers discovery, metadata and creator history. The bot delivers the video to Telegram, while the website does not publish a public MP4 URL or video player.

Does the Telegram copy expire?

The copy in your Telegram chat remains until you or Telegram remove it. Temporary processing files follow a separate retention policy.
